
The performance of India’s telecom sector in the first quarter of 2025 reveals key insights. Wireless subscriber additions were strong, while broadband experienced a slowdown. Total telecom subscribers exceeded 1.2 billion. The wireless segment saw a net increase of 13.10 million users, reaching 1,163.76 million. This includes a significant contribution from 5G FWA. The wireline segment faced a decline. Tele-density increased, with rural areas contributing substantially.
