iPhone users of Truecaller will no longer be able to use the call recording feature after September 30th. This change has been announced by the company. Truecaller, an app primarily used for caller ID and spam blocking, is set to remove one of its features. According to the iOS head at Truecaller, Nakul Kabra, the company is prioritizing other features such as live caller ID and automated spam call blocking. The call recording feature was launched in June 2023, initially for paying iPhone users, and later extended to Android. Due to Apple’s restrictions on call recording by third-party apps, the feature is being removed. Truecaller users are urged to download their recordings before the cutoff date, September 30th, after which all recordings will be deleted. To save recordings, users must go to the Truecaller app on their iPhone, navigate to the record tab, and adjust storage settings.
