A high-priority alert has been issued by CERT-IN, warning users of Apple devices, including iPhones, Macs, iPads, and Apple Watches, about critical security flaws. These vulnerabilities could lead to significant data breaches and device compromise.
The advisory specifies the affected devices and the corresponding OS versions. This includes iPhones using OS versions prior to 18.6, iPads with older versions than 17.7.9/18.6, MacBooks using older OS versions than Sequoia 15.6, Sonoma 14.7.7, and Ventura 13.7.7. Apple Watches running older than watchOS 11.6, Apple TVs on tvOS older than 18.6, and visionOS versions older than 2.6 are also listed.
Hackers could exploit these vulnerabilities to access sensitive information, take control of devices, bypass security features, and cause financial harm. The recommended actions to protect against these attacks are to install Apple’s security updates promptly and avoid clicking on suspicious links.
