The new features include a built-in document scanner and a wider variety of chat theme colours. The document scanner, which is integrated directly within the document-sharing feature, allows users to scan documents using their phone’s camera, offering both manual and automatic scanning modes. Scanned files are converted to PDF format locally and encrypted. This update eliminates the need for third-party scanning apps. The beta update also introduces 18 new chat theme colors, bringing the total to 38. Users can customize the appearance of individual chats or all chats. The chat theme changes include chat bubbles, wallpapers, and doodles. The new features are in development and will be accessible in subsequent WhatsApp updates.
