Microsoft is introducing several AI-powered features for Windows 11 users through Copilot. The upcoming features include the Copilot Vision tool, which lets users scan content on their screen for analysis and interaction. Copilot will enable users to inquire about the content visible and execute tasks like enhancing picture lighting. Some functions are exclusive to Copilot Plus personal computers. Microsoft’s announcement highlighted a consumer AI report indicating significant use of generative AI for work and personal projects. Other new features include a sticker generator within Paint, an object select tool, an AI lighting option in Photos, and a perfect screenshot tool. These updates are scheduled to begin rolling out in August. Additional non-AI updates include a color picker in the Snipping Tool and a system designed to address unexpected restarts.
