In a meeting held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, foreign ministers from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) discussed the situation with Israel. The 57 member nations of the OIC jointly called for Israel’s removal from the United Nations, arguing that Israel is in breach of its membership obligations.
The OIC ministers also condemned Israel’s control and occupation of Gaza, and demanded a special session of the UN Security Council to be convened in September. The organization also spoke out against the concept of Greater Israel, claiming it goes against international law and poses a risk to peace.
