A devastating bomb explosion in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bajaur district on Wednesday led to the deaths of at least five people, including an assistant commissioner, and injured 11 others. The attack is the latest in a series of violent incidents in the region, coming after a suicide bombing in North Waziristan that resulted in the deaths of 13 security personnel. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that the North Waziristan attack was carried out by Fitna-al-Khawarij. A separate attack involving a suicide bomber targeting a security convoy resulted in multiple civilian injuries. Pakistan has blamed India for the earlier suicide bombing; however, India has rejected the allegations.
