Intense clashes in Balochistan have resulted in fatalities, with four Baloch fighters killed in Barkhan. The gun battle occurred in the Koh-e-Jandar area of Rakni tehsil and involved a ‘state-backed’ armed group. The deceased have been identified as Mustafa Noor, Samiullah, Rasaan Qadir, and Shahzaib. Their bodies were taken to a hospital in Rakni. Pakistani authorities have yet to comment on the incident. Concurrently, heavy fighting was reported in Mastung district’s Spilinji area following a military operation. Large numbers of troops entered the mountainous region, leading to intense gunfire and explosions. The exact number of casualties remains unclear, and no Baloch armed group has claimed responsibility for the clashes. The ongoing violence highlights the volatile situation in Balochistan, where conflict persists between nationalist groups and state forces.
