Preparations are underway for the upcoming general elections in Bangladesh after the ouster of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The Chief Election Commissioner, A.M.M. Nasir Uddin, confirmed that the elections are slated for the first week of February 2026. He recognized the ongoing challenge of ensuring an independent, unbiased, and transparent voting process.
