
A gun battle in Barkhan district claimed the lives of four Baloch fighters, with the clash involving a state-backed armed group. The confrontation occurred in the Koh-e-Jandar area of Rakni tehsil on Friday. Heavy weapons were reportedly used during the hours-long exchange of fire. The deceased were identified as Mustafa Noor, Samiullah, Rasaan Qadir, and Shahzaib. Their bodies were taken to Rakni hospital. Concurrent to this, a military operation in the Spilinji area of Mastung district led to intense fighting. Pakistani forces deployed large numbers of troops into the mountainous region late Thursday night, resulting in gunfire and explosions. The precise number of casualties is still unknown, and no Baloch armed group has claimed responsibility. This latest violence highlights the ongoing volatility in Balochistan, where conflict between nationalist groups and state forces continues.
