
A gun battle in the Barkhan region of Balochistan resulted in the deaths of four Baloch fighters. The clash, which took place in the Koh-e-Jandar area of Rakni tehsil, involved a ‘state-backed’ armed group. Residents reported the use of heavy weapons during the hours-long exchange. The deceased were identified as Mustafa Noor, Samiullah, Rasaan Qadir, and Shahzaib, and their remains were taken to a hospital in Rakni. Separately, a military operation by Pakistani forces in the Spilinji area of Mastung district led to intense fighting, with reports of heavy gunfire and explosions. The exact number of casualties from this operation is still being determined. The events highlight the continuing conflict in Balochistan between nationalist groups and state forces.
