Severe flooding has struck both the Indian and Pakistani Punjab regions. Pakistan’s Punjab has witnessed the displacement of 3.7 million people due to recent floods, prompting rescue and relief efforts from the government and other organizations. Among those involved is Jamaat-ud-Dawa, an extremist Islamic organization associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba. The group, whose leader is Hafiz Saeed, a man wanted by India and linked to the 2008 Mumbai attacks, stated that it has mobilized 2,000 members for flood relief operations in the northwest and Punjab provinces.
