The earthquake in Kunar province of Afghanistan has caused widespread destruction, impacting numerous villages and, significantly, education. The seismic event has caused significant damage, leaving children without schools. The head of the provincial education department confirmed that the earthquake resulted in the deaths of 391 students and injuries to 760 others.
According to Mohibullah Haidari, Education Director of Kunar, over 157,074 students are currently unable to continue their education. The quake caused severe damage to schools, leaving students and teachers in despair.
