The attack, which involved two gunmen targeting a bus stop, led to the immediate neutralization of the attackers by security personnel. Hamas has voiced approval of the attack, characterizing it as a valiant act. Following the shooting, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu initiated an emergency security meeting. Authorities are actively investigating the incident, and security forces nationwide have been placed on high alert. The National Security Minister, Itamar Ben Gvir, visited the scene to evaluate the situation. The Jerusalem District Court has postponed a hearing in the Netanyahu case scheduled for the morning. Israeli forces have increased their presence in Palestinian villages near Ramallah, believed to be the origin of the attackers.
