The Houthi-controlled administration announced the death of Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rahawi in an Israeli airstrike on Sanaa, Yemen’s capital. The incident, which occurred during a government workshop, also claimed the lives of multiple other ministers, according to the rebel group. The Israeli military has confirmed its involvement, stating that it struck a “Houthi terrorist regime target” in Sanaa. Al-Rahawi, who became prime minister in August 2024, was a significant leader within the Houthi government.
