The Israeli Defense Forces intercepted the ‘Madleen,’ a sailboat carrying Greta Thunberg and other activists, en route to Gaza. The interception occurred early Monday, and the vessel was redirected to Israeli waters. The Israeli Foreign Ministry confirmed the safety of those on board and stated that they were provided with food and water. The ‘Madleen’ was part of the Gaza Freedom Flotilla, carrying supplies intended for Gaza. The ministry noted that the activists’ actions were primarily for publicity, contrasting it with the substantial aid delivered through official channels. The Gaza Freedom Flotilla Coalition reported the incident on its Telegram channel, alleging the use of drones and communication jamming. The Israeli Defense Minister ordered the boat’s interception, which was carrying a limited amount of aid, including rice and baby formula.
