Starting September 1st, Indian citizens in Dubai face new regulations regarding passport photos. The Indian Consulate has confirmed that photographs must meet the ICAO’s updated specifications, effective from August 25th. Key elements include a colored photo on a white background, with a specific size (630 x 810 pixels or 2×2 inches), taken from 1.5 meters. The face should occupy a substantial portion of the frame (80-85%), with a natural skin tone. The guidelines also specify the elimination of filters, edits, and blurring, along with restrictions on glasses and head coverings. These changes reflect a broader initiative by the Indian government to enhance passport security and global acceptance.
