From his prison cell, former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan sent a message to Army Chief Asim Munir, conveyed by his sister, Aleema Khan. The message included Khan’s resolute words to Munir: “You will not break us. We will never accept your servitude.” The message, released by BBC Urdu, details Khan’s perspective that Munir is misguided and acting like former Army Chief Yahya Khan. The message goes on to warn Munir that his actions are reminiscent of Yahya Khan, whose rule survived, but Pakistan was split into two. Khan further accused Munir of trying to dismantle the PTI. The message was delivered after a hearing in the Toshakhana case, where Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, are involved. In a press conference, Aleema Khan also shared Imran’s prediction of Pakistan’s financial decline, drawing parallels to Nepal and Sri Lanka. He also predicted potential coups in Pakistan mirroring events in Bangladesh and Nepal. Khan criticized Pakistan’s judicial system and media, stating that they are compromised. He pointed out a lack of foreign investment, a surge in terrorist activities, and the military’s perceived failure to maintain control, leading to widespread unease.
