Russia is in talks with India to potentially supply more S-400 missile systems, aiming to deepen their defense partnership. Discussions are focused on expanding their cooperation, which may involve additional deliveries of the advanced air defense platform. This follows a meeting between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin. India previously secured a deal in 2018 worth $5.43 billion for five squadrons of the S-400 Triumf missile system. Three squadrons have already been delivered. The S-400, known in India as “Sudarshan Chakra”, is designed to counter various aerial threats and has been used to intercept incoming projectiles. The remaining deliveries are expected to be completed in 2026 and 2027, with the final two units arriving by the end of this period.
