
Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri’s visit to Abu Dhabi, UAE, on June 10th, was a significant step in reinforcing the strategic partnership between India and the UAE. The visit built on the discussions held during the Joint Commission Meeting in late 2024. Misri’s meetings with UAE officials, including Reem Al Hashim, covered a wide range of topics, such as trade, investments, energy, and technology. Both countries pledged to collaborate in international arenas to advance their shared goals. Misri acknowledged the UAE’s support following the Pahalgam terrorist attack. In addition to these discussions, Misri met with Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, expressing gratitude for the UAE’s care for the Indian community. Meetings with Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi underscored a shared commitment to countering terrorism. The visit underscores the strong and evolving relationship between the two nations.
