On the sidelines of the Quad Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and US State Secretary Marco Rubio held discussions concerning the bilateral partnership, concentrating on trade, security, critical technologies, connectivity, energy, and mobility. Jaishankar also met with Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong. In a separate meeting, Jaishankar and US Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth met at the Pentagon to discuss the strategic significance of the defense partnership between India and the US. The US side expressed interest in furthering defense cooperation, including integrating US defense systems, expanding industrial collaboration, and co-production.
