As Nepal’s situation stabilizes, the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu has issued a travel advisory to Indian citizens, recommending they exercise caution when visiting the country. The advisory reflects improved conditions, with regular operation of road transport and flights. Indian nationals are advised to remain cautious and follow any updates or advisories issued by the Indian Embassy or local authorities in Nepal. The government is working to clear debris and repair damage from recent protests. This includes the removal of charred vehicles from streets and government building restoration. Damaged vehicles are being collected at the federal parliament premises after being extracted from Singhadurbar, the administrative capital, by cranes. Authorities are recording vehicle registration numbers to assist with insurance claims and to assess the extent of damage from the events of September 9. An early assessment indicated approximately 700 vehicles were destroyed in the violence, with over 250 four-wheelers and more than 450 two-wheelers damaged beyond repair. The Prime Minister’s Office alone had at least 47 four-wheelers and 74 two-wheelers affected. The Prime Minister’s Office, the Home Ministry, and the Federal Parliament Secretariat suffered the most vehicular damage during the protests.
