
In Abu Dhabi, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri engaged in discussions to strengthen the strategic partnership between India and the UAE. The visit followed the Joint Commission Meeting of December 2024. The focus was on expanding collaboration in areas like trade, investments, and defense. Misri met with Reem Al Hashim, Minister of State for International Cooperation, and reviewed the multifaceted bilateral relationship. Appreciation was expressed for the UAE’s solidarity after the Pahalgam terror incident. Meetings were held with Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Co-existence, and Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defence Affairs, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee, to discuss the well-being of Indian expatriates and to jointly address terrorism. The visit reflected the ongoing commitment of both nations to deepen their comprehensive strategic partnership through regular high-level exchanges.
