Hamas has delivered the mortal remains of four additional hostages, a move met with a significant threat from Israel to cut aid to Gaza by half. Israeli military forces received the remains on Tuesday, facilitated by the Red Cross, according to the Prime Minister’s Office. The bodies are being processed for identification, with affected families awaiting official confirmation. This latest handover follows an earlier return of four deceased hostages. Israel’s military coordination agency, COGAT, has indicated to the UN that it plans to reduce the number of aid trucks entering Gaza, potentially to 300 from the agreed 600. US officials were briefed on this development, which raises serious concerns about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. The complex negotiations for the release of hostages, both living and deceased, continue to face significant obstacles and delays, prompting frustration from hostage families.
