The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported the successful elimination of Ali Shadmani, Iran’s War-Time Chief of Staff and a top military advisor to Ayatollah Khamenei, in an airstrike conducted in central Tehran. The IDF stated the strike was based on precise intelligence, marking it as the second such operation within a five-day period. In addition, the IDF reported a series of strikes on Iranian military targets in western Iran, including missile storage sites, launch infrastructure, and UAV facilities. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asserted Israeli Air Force’s control over Tehran’s airspace and reiterated that Israel targets regime entities, not civilians. Iranian media confirmed the deaths of Brigadier General Mohammad Kazemi, the head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ intelligence, and his deputy, Hassan Mohaqiq, in a separate incident. Previously, the IDF announced the elimination of other high-ranking Iranian military officers in other strikes.
