Israeli authorities have published video footage that appears to show Hamas operatives executing a Palestinian man in Gaza City. The video, shared on the Arabic-language Facebook page of COGAT, has been blurred to protect the victim’s identity. Major General Ghassan Alian of COGAT condemned the act, stating it reflects Hamas’s continued violence and efforts to maintain its rule. Alian accused Hamas of endangering Gazan residents and trying to intimidate the population. The video, lacking details about the victim, is intended to highlight what Israel views as Hamas’s violent behavior and disregard for Palestinian lives. COGAT plays a coordinating role for civilian issues in Gaza, Judea, and Samaria. The Israel Defence Forces also released an audio recording of Palestinians blaming Hamas for recent violence at humanitarian aid centres.
