Israel’s Foreign Minister, Gideon Sa’ar, has left for a state visit to the United States. A key part of the visit will be a meeting with Secretary of State and National Security Advisor Marco Rubio. This meeting will take place at the US State Department in Washington on Wednesday, following an invitation from Rubio. It represents the second meeting between the two officials, the first being in February during the Secretary of State’s visit to Israel. In addition, Minister Sa’ar will hold talks with US Homeland Security Secretary Christie Noam, whom he previously hosted in Israel after the tragic deaths of Yaron Lishansky and Sarah Lynn Milgram, employees of the Israeli Embassy in Washington. He also plans to meet with the Conference of Presidents, AIPAC leadership, and host a reception for Jewish community leaders and Christian supporters of Israel.
