Israeli airstrikes have resulted in the deaths of high-ranking Iranian officials. Ali Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader, has taken shelter in bunkers following the June 13th attacks. These attacks also occurred in April and December 2024. Brigadier General Mohammad Kazemi, the head of IRGC intelligence, and his deputy, Hassan Mohaqiq, were among those killed. Another IRGC intelligence chief, Mohsen Bagheri, was also killed. The IDF stated that the strikes were designed to disrupt Iran’s weapon production capabilities, focusing on IRGC infrastructure. Reports suggest Israel gave Khamenei a last chance to cease uranium enrichment. Concurrently, eight people were injured in the latest Iranian ballistic missile attack. Injuries occurred in Haifa and a southern town, with additional people treated for anxiety-related issues.
