Both the parties have also done seat sharing, under which Congress will contest elections on 17 Lok Sabha seats. SP has left 11 seats in Purvanchal and Awadh region, 1 in Bundelkhand and 5 in Western Uttar Pradesh for Congress. These include Rae Bareli, Amethi, Kanpur, Fatehpur Sikri, Bansgaon, Saharanpur, Prayagraj, Maharajganj, Varanasi, Amroha, Jhansi, Buldanshahr, Ghaziabad, Mathura, Sitapur, Barabanki and Deoria seats.
