On Saturday, a rally in London, organized as ‘Unite the Kingdom,’ saw participation from over 100,000 people. The demonstration was led by Tommy Robinson, a prominent figure known for his anti-immigration stance. The rally is considered a major event for the right-wing movement in the United Kingdom. The event was marred by clashes near Whitehall, which led to injuries among police officers. Twenty-six officers were injured, with four sustaining serious injuries.
A separate protest, ‘Stand Up to Racism,’ took place concurrently, with around 5,000 participants. Police intervened to keep the two groups apart, and this led to clashes. A number of protestors were arrested.
