A rescue mission is currently in progress to save approximately a thousand people stuck on the Tibetan side of Mount Everest due to blizzard conditions. The area, which is at an altitude of over 4,900 meters, has seen its routes become impassable due to heavy snowfall. Numerous local villagers and rescue teams have been dispatched to clear the obstructions.
Initial reports suggest that some tourists have already been rescued. The adverse weather conditions started on Friday evening and intensified across the eastern part of Mount Everest in Tibet, a region popular with mountaineers. Mount Everest, the world’s tallest peak, stands over 8,849 meters high and is also known as Mount Qomolangma in China.
