
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba marked a significant step forward in their partnership by exchanging agreements. Following the meeting, Prime Minister Modi noted the discussions were both effective and meaningful. A strategic roadmap for the next ten years was unveiled, outlining the direction of collaboration between India and Japan. Modi described the partnership as vital, emphasizing their roles as the world’s largest economies and democracies. He underscored its importance for global peace and security. The strategic vision includes investment, innovation, economic security, environmental initiatives, technological cooperation, health advancements, mobility, and people-to-people exchanges. Japan has committed to investing 10 trillion yen in India over the next decade, with a specific focus on fostering connections between the countries’ small and medium-sized enterprises and startups.
