Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, has expressed remorse for his recent comments concerning former President Donald Trump. On the social media platform X, Musk acknowledged that his remarks were excessive. These comments created some stir, given their previous relationship. Trump himself later confirmed that their relationship was now strained.

Musk posted on X, “I regret some of my posts about President Donald Trump last week. They went too far.”

The public dispute between Trump and Musk escalated when Trump stated he did not desire to mend their relationship. Trump hinted that Musk, who had supported his campaigns, might face repercussions if he chose to support the Democrats in the coming elections.

In an interview with NBC’s Kristen Welker, Trump was asked whether his relationship with Tesla CEO Musk was finished. He responded, “I would assume so, yeah.” Trump indicated he would not be seeking reconciliation with his former ally.

Trump mentioned, “I’m too busy doing other things, you know, I won an election in a landslide…I gave him a lot of breaks, long before this happened, I gave him breaks in my first administration, and saved his life in my first administration, I have no intention of speaking to him.”

The disagreement between Trump and Musk erupted after Musk criticized Trump’s spending plans, warning that the bill would “massively increase the already gigantic budget deficit to USD 2.5 trillion,” and that “Congress is making America bankrupt.” Musk described the bill as a “disgusting abomination.”
