The defense deal between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, agreed upon in September 2025, includes a mutual defense clause. This agreement came after an Israeli attack on Qatar. This defense deal also provided Saudi Arabia with nuclear protection. Pakistan is the only Muslim country with nuclear weapons, possessing about 170 nuclear weapons, according to SIPRI. It is believed that Pakistan offered nuclear protection to Saudi Arabia to secure the investment.
