The bench headed by former Chief Justice DY Chandrachud retained the stay (temporary restriction) and sent the case to a three -member bench. The bench of Chief Justice Sanjeev Khanna and Justice Sanjay Kumar said-first all petitions should be filed together, after which the central government will file an affidavit. During the hearing, Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind’s lawyer Advocate Ejaz Maqbool presented a summary of the petitions filed so far before the court, which was accepted by the Supreme Court.
