Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official visit to Trinidad and Tobago commenced with a warm welcome, featuring a traditional Bhojpuri Chautaal performance. During the visit, PM Modi interacted with members of the Indian community, recognizing their contributions to Trinidad and Tobago. PM Modi emphasized the significance of the cultural exchange on social media. He noted the historical ties and success of the Indian diaspora. He also met with the winners of the Bharat Ko Janiye (Know India) Quiz. The visit, the first for PM Modi and the first bilateral visit by an Indian Prime Minister since 1999, was initiated at the invitation of Trinidad and Tobago’s Prime Minister. A ceremonial Guard of Honour was presented upon his arrival.
