The U.S. military conducted strikes against crucial Iranian nuclear sites, including those in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. The operation, known as “Operation Midnight Hammer,” involved B-2 Spirit bombers deploying massive 30,000-pound bombs. Former President Trump declared the strikes a resounding success, asserting the complete destruction of three enrichment sites. However, examining satellite images reveals a more complex picture. Media outlets have noted that while damage is visible, it may not be as comprehensive as claimed. Experts are evaluating the full extent of the impact, especially on underground facilities. The Fordow plant shows craters, tunnel collapses, and mountain ridge damage in satellite images, but some analysts suggest key components may remain unaffected. Reports indicate the Esfahan Nuclear Technology and Research Centre suffered significant damage. The potential targeting of ventilation shafts at Fordow is also under scrutiny. Prior to the strikes, there are reports that Iran may have moved hundreds of kilograms of uranium from the facilities.
