A mass shooting at a school in Graz, Austria, has claimed the lives of at least ten people. The victims included students and staff. The shooter, identified as a student, died by suicide.
The incident took place at BORG Dreierschützengasse high school. Emergency services, including specialized Cobra units and a helicopter, were mobilized after a call was received at 10 am (local time). The police evacuated the school, ensuring the safety of all individuals by relocating them to a secure area. Authorities later announced that the situation was ‘secured’, confirming the absence of any further immediate danger. Graz, the capital of the Styria province, is home to approximately 300,000 residents.
