The washing machine, designed like a suitcase, is easy to carry. It requires only 13 fluid ounces of a specialized solution. Replacing traditional detergents, the machine uses UV rays to eliminate germs. This innovation allows astronauts to carry 60% less clothing. The washing process takes approximately 30 minutes and involves four steps, including fog, ozone sterilization, and drying. The machine is intended for astronauts on missions to Mars or the Moon, lasting over 2.5 months.
