The U.S. administration has implemented a stringent immigration policy, resulting in the revocation of approximately 80,000 non-immigrant visas since the start of the year. These actions are a direct response to various offenses, including criminal activities like driving under the influence, assault, and theft, as well as violations related to immigration laws and national foreign policy. A substantial portion of these revocations, nearly half, were attributed to DUI (16,000), assault (12,000), and theft (8,000). To further enhance security, the government has introduced advanced vetting protocols for new visa applicants, incorporating extensive social media checks and deeper background screenings. This comprehensive strategy aims to uphold U.S. laws and protect national security interests by ensuring that all visa holders comply with the terms of their entry and stay.
