Behera, 36, from Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district, was taken in Al Fashir, a significant city recently fallen to RSF control. He had been working at the Sukarati Plastic Factory for three years and is the father of two young sons. His family, particularly his wife, is deeply distressed by the news. Reports suggest Behera may have been moved to Nyala, another RSF-held territory. The abduction comes at a time when Al Fashir was the last remaining RSF stronghold in Darfur. A video clip circulating online offers a chilling glimpse into the ordeal, showing Behera with RSF personnel.
