
All flight activities at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal, have been temporarily suspended following a technical malfunction with the runway’s lighting system. Airport authorities confirmed the disruption began at approximately 5:30 PM local time, affecting both international arrivals and departures, as well as domestic services. The immediate consequence is a significant number of flight delays and some cancellations, impacting numerous travelers. Efforts are underway by airport personnel to swiftly repair the airfield lighting and resume normal operations. At least five flights were initially held due to the issue, and the airport is closely monitoring the situation while advising passengers to stay informed through their airlines.
