Cindy Rodriguez Singh, a Texas resident, has been apprehended by the FBI and is set to face charges in the United States concerning the death of her son. Director Kash Patel shared that Singh was arrested after fleeing to India with her family in March 2023. Singh was added to the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list after the authorities began to look into the disappearance of her child. Her arrest came after an Interpol Red Notice was issued and an extradition packet was prepared and submitted to India. She has been brought back to the US and will be managed by Texas authorities.
The case unfolded after a welfare check in March 2023, revealing the child had not been seen since October 2022. The child had a variety of health and developmental concerns. Singh allegedly misinformed officials, claiming her son was with his biological father in Mexico. Singh, along with her husband and six other children, left for India two days later, without the missing child. Singh was added to the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list in July, and is the fourth person caught from the list during Director Patel’s tenure.
