The Hindu American Foundation has strongly criticized Duncan’s remarks, labeling them as ‘anti-Hindu’ and ‘incendiary,’ and has lodged a complaint with the Texas Republican Party. Duncan is seeking election to the Senate in the 2026 election cycle and is a proponent of conservative values. The Hanuman statue, conceptualized by Sri Chinnajeeyar Swamiji, represents strength, devotion, and service and was unveiled on August 18, 2024.
