The Majeed Brigade is a Baloch insurgent group that has been listed as a terrorist organization, alongside the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA). The group is known for its suicide attacks and targets both the Pakistani military and Chinese nationals. The group is considered a major enemy of both Pakistan and China. Formed in 2011, the Majeed Brigade has been responsible for the deaths of over 200 Pakistani military personnel in the last 14 years. The Majeed Brigade was formed in memory of Majeed Senior and his brother, Majeed Junior, who were associated with the BLA. Members of the Majeed Brigade are allowed to maintain contact with their families and select their own targets. Most members are suicide attackers. The group has an estimated 150 well-trained fighters, who operate from two training camps in the Baloch region. These fighters were trained by TTP operatives. The main target of the Majeed Brigade is the Pakistani military. The attacks are carried out in three stages: target selection, information gathering by informers, and the execution of attacks. The group uses improvised explosive devices (IEDs), anti-personnel and anti-tank mines, grenades, rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs), and automatic weapons like M4 rifles, and BM-12, 107MM, 109MM rockets to attack. The Majeed Brigade has also targeted Chinese nationals and assets since 2018, resulting in the deaths of 14 Chinese nationals. The group claims that China oppresses Balochis through a private army in Gwadar and opposes the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
