Elon Musk retracted a tweet that mentioned Donald Trump’s name concerning the Epstein files, following a public dispute between the two. The conflict originated from Musk’s claim that the Epstein files’ public release was delayed, allegedly due to Trump’s inclusion. Musk, who had resigned from his government role in the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to concentrate on his business, expressed his disagreement with Trump’s ‘Big Beautiful Bill.’
Musk’s deleted tweet stated, “Donald Trump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!” In response to a post by Bill Ackman, Musk indicated a potential truce, agreeing with Ackman’s suggestion that both should reconcile for the nation’s benefit.
This public disagreement transpired during a crucial period for Trump’s bill, which included considerable tax reductions and increased military spending. The online clash featured intense criticism and accusations traded between the two prominent individuals. U.S. Vice President JD Vance publicly supported Trump amidst the unfolding dispute, emphasizing his confidence in Trump’s leadership.
