In a recent phone call, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and former US President Donald Trump engaged in a discussion centered on US support for Ukraine. Zelenskyy expressed his appreciation for America’s commitment. A key outcome was an agreement with a leading US company to enhance joint efforts related to drones. Air defense was another key topic, with Zelenskyy highlighting the importance of Patriot missile systems. News of the call came as the Ukrainian military claimed an attack on a Russian airbase, and Moscow’s air defense systems worked to intercept incoming Ukrainian drones, resulting in temporary flight restrictions. The Russian Defense Ministry reported a high number of drones intercepted. Trump, during the talks, emphasized the need for Patriot missiles to protect Ukraine and expressed disapproval of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s approach to the ongoing conflict.
