Trump pointed out that when he assumed office, relations between the Biden administration and Moscow were strained. He highlighted his efforts to re-establish diplomatic connections. Regarding the Ukraine war, Trump stated that he had worked to improve the situation significantly and suggested that a resolution could be reached soon.
Trump has asserted that the Ukraine conflict is a result of Biden’s actions, criticizing the military assistance provided to Ukraine. He has also raised concerns about the financial impact, estimating a cost of around $350 billion. Earlier this year, Trump hinted that he wanted to recover these losses through a mineral agreement with Kyiv. The challenge for him is that the mineral wealth being discussed is located in territories that have voted to join Russia.
