
Tragedy struck a Catholic school in Minneapolis when a shooting occurred during a morning prayer service, taking the lives of two young students and injuring 17 others. The shooter, reported to be around 20 years of age and armed with multiple weapons, died from self-inflicted wounds. In response, President Donald Trump has issued an order for all U.S. flags to be lowered to half-staff to honor the victims. This directive encompasses flags at the White House, public buildings, military and naval installations, as well as U.S. embassies and consulates globally, until sunset on August 31st, 2025. The President expressed his distress over the situation and indicated that the FBI was on-site responding to the incident. He urged for prayers for all those affected. Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey also shared his sorrow regarding the shooting at the school.
