He optimistically stated that this dialogue would culminate in enduring peace. The summit took place in Busan, South Korea, as US-China trade tensions remained a significant global concern. Following the talks, Trump revealed a reduction in US tariffs on Chinese products, decreasing them from 57% to 47%. He also confirmed that all issues pertaining to rare earth minerals had been resolved. China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also conveyed a positive outlook, suggesting that joint efforts between the two countries could yield substantial benefits for both nations and the international community.
